Ask without leaving the question

What it does
A study partner for the NYC REMAC protocols
Six things the AI tutor is for.
After every question
The Ask AI tutor button sits under the explanation of any question you have answered.
- It sees your pick, the correct answer and the protocol pages the explanation links to.
- Ask why the right answer is right, why the others are wrong, or where it sits in the protocol.
- Replies can include a button that opens the cited page in the Protocol Reader.
- It works in every study mode, in Review and on the Question of the Day. It is switched off during a running Mock Exam, so nothing is revealed before you finish.
Ask anything about the protocols
Beyond one question, ask about a protocol, a drug, an assessment or the reason behind a step.
- It looks up the official NYC REMAC text for your question and cites the page. Doses, routes and step orders come from that text; if it doesn't contain a detail, the AI tutor says so and points you to the protocol.
- It goes into the medicine behind the protocols.
- When something falls outside protocol, it says so instead of presenting it as a protocol rule.
- Ask it to explain a topic like you're new to it, then check the cited page yourself.
Learns where you struggle
It reads your recent quizzes and your accuracy by subject, the same numbers Stats shows.
- Ask "How am I doing?" for a read on recent quizzes and subjects. It needs at least 3 finished quizzes and 30 graded answers first; before that it tells you plainly that it doesn't have enough data.
- Ask it to drill your weakest subject and it quizzes you in conversation, then offers a button to start a full set.
Flashcards on demand
Ask for a deck right in the chat: on a topic, from the questions you missed, or from your own notes.
- Topic decks are written from the official REMAC protocol text, with the protocol page on each card. Doses come only from that text; where the text doesn't give one, the card says to check the protocol.
- Cards can also come from the questions you missed, or from your uploaded notes and files (premium).
- You see a preview first and nothing is saved until you confirm. Saved cards land in your Flashcards, where you can sort them into decks and study them like any other card.
Your own notes and files
Upload your class notes, handouts or study guides to Protocols & Study, then switch them on in the chat.
- With uploads switched on, the AI tutor uses the relevant parts of your files and names the file and page it drew from.
- You read the same files in Protocols & Study with highlights, notes, bookmarks and search.
- Uploading your own files is a premium feature: PDFs, Word documents, text files or photos of notes, up to 25 MB each. Scanned PDFs without selectable text are kept for reading but are not searched by the AI tutor.
- Only upload material you own or have the right to use.
Private and in your control
Chats are saved to your account so you can come back to them.
- Chats and uploads are private to your account and never shown to other users.
- Delete any chat, or remove a file, whenever you like.
- To write a reply, your message and the study context it needs are sent to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude model. Staff may access chats and files for support, safety and legal reasons. The Privacy Policy has the details.
- Don't type anything identifying about a real patient.
Know the limits
What the AI Tutor isn't
The AI tutor is for exam study. It can be wrong, it is not medical advice, and it is not for real patient care.
Not a substitute for the official protocols
It is a study aid. Protocols change, so check anything important against the cited page and the current official NYC REMAC protocols.
It can be wrong
It is an AI model. It can make mistakes or sound more certain than it should. Treat it like a study partner, not an answer key.
Never for patient care
It is not medical advice. On the job, follow the protocols, your agency and online medical control.
